The Carl's Jr. chain sure didn't last long in the Manila; just up with several branches and out again in a few years. I don't think the Filipino palate quite understood the barbecue sauce slathered sandwiches back then. But I think Carl's Jr. has come a long way in terms of their menu and basing on this recent campaign, featuring Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, I wouldn't mind having THAT particular burger right now. Maybe even have that burger everyday...

Si Padma ang nagdala ng TVC. Hehehe. The boys would probably want her versus the burger!
I used to love Carl's Jr! Especially their Western Bacon and Cheese!!! I was probably the only one :( I was so sad when they left :( To this day I love to put bbq sauce on my burgers. What I do now is order a bacon cheese burger from Brothers Burger and onion rings. I add bbq sauce at home, squash the onion rings into the burger, and voila...my own Western Bacon and Cheese! :)
@Didi, you should check out the extended version of the TVC... madness.
@ChichaJo, I remember Carl's Jr. being one of the few burger chains serving onion rings then. yes i do love them in my burger as well.
